Looking for a place where you can get almost all your freeze-dried food cravings? Let’s see if Freeze Dried Depot is the place for you and if it’s worth buying.
Due to the demand for freeze-dried food from their friends and family, husband and wife David and Kellie decided to take a plunge into the industry. The company started in December 2020 in Boise, Idaho. They started Freeze Dried Depot after seeing dramatic growth in the home freeze-drying sector.
It’s a family business that runs under the principles of freeze drying, letting the owners be creative with their production. Their goal is to provide food that’s both healthy and fun for everyone.
Freeze Dried Depot only chooses select fresh seasonal fruits and brands for their products. They want to become the go-to resource for high-quality freeze-dried products for a load of fun, fulfilling, and lively activities.
There are so many freeze-dried food items here to choose from. You can get:
The freeze-dried goods are packed in air-tight mylar bags with a transparent window on the front. It’s an excellent way to store freeze-dried food for long-term storage while giving you a glimpse of whether the food is good – or when you need to order.
The site doesn’t say if their products are organic, non-GMO, and gluten-free. You might want to consider taking these with caution if you are on a special diet.
The freeze-dried ice cream at the Freeze Dried Depot for $9.00-$11.00.
Freeze dried candies will cost you $7.00-$12.00, and the freeze-dried fruits are sold for $9.00.

Most of the reviews we got were about a year ago, but customers seem to love ordering and going here.
Some got a sampler pack and were so satisfied that they ordered online immediately when they got home.
Another said she wasn’t a fan of skittles, but if you give her freeze-dried ones, she’s on board. Her toddler also couldn’t get enough of the freeze-dried pineapples. She’s shocked a how much flavor was in the little bits of fruit.
Another guy said that the strawberries taste like fresh strawberries but have a cotton candy texture. He’s hooked on the peanut butter ice cream too.
A mother ordered strawberries, cookies and cream ice cream, and ice cream sandwiches. The thought here was to stock up on some snacks for her kids. She tried a few just to be sure. The strawberries were gone a couple of hours, with the ice cream next. There were still some left for her kids, though, but she didn’t tell if her kids loved the treats or not.
If you live in Idaho or happen to be visiting Idaho, it’s worth dropping by and getting some treats. That is if we’re going to base this on the reviews we have so far. Even on Google, the reviews date back to a year. Not sure why reviews stopped coming, but it would certainly be great to get more. Based on the reviews, the brand seems to give this vibe of fun and excitement. We hope that Freeze Dried Depot is still continuing to provide the same enjoyment to everyone.
The price seems to be a touch more expensive compared to some. For example, a 0.70 oz of freeze-dried strawberries costs $9.00, while an ounce of Simple Truth freeze-dried strawberries costs $4.00.
