Freeze Dried Reviews

So many companies are offering different types of dog food, but very few of them uphold a standard. A standard that Open Farm took the risk to research and develop so that every pet owner can give their pets healthy food that’s humane and sustainable. Here, we’ll look at Open Farm freeze-dried food and see exactly how high their standards are, and if they’re worth doing business with.

What Is Open Farm?

The company is a family-owned business started by Jaqueline Prehogan and Isaac Langleben. It all began when Jacqueline rescued her first dog, Bella. As an animal lover, she made it her mission to find natural, nutritious food for Bella to help her grow happy, healthy, and strong.

Unfortunately, most of the dog food brands available weren’t against Jacqueline’s personal values of animal welfare, sustainably, and transparency standards. So alongside

with her husband Isaac and brother-in-law Derek, they started to develop pet food that met their standards.

And with that vision, Open Farm was born.

What Are The Open Farm Freeze Dried Food Available?

They also have dry and wet food, gently cooked meals, and treats in case your dog’s a picky eater and isn’t happy with freeze-dried food.

What Makes Open Farm Different?

When they say over-the-top tracing, they mean it. Where else can you find a company that lets you trace where the ingredients come from? When they say they’re serious about their commitment to transparency, they mean it.

Their sustainability standards are also top-notch. Open Farm only use high-quality ingredients that are GMO-free. All ingredients are ethically sourced and 100% certified humane. All Open Farm partner farms are regularly audited to verify and ensure that they maintain strict humane standards. No animals are kept in cages.

There’s also a quiz that you can take to help you with your dog’s diet. They’ll ask you about your dog’s breed, age, weight, level of activity, and diet. From there, Open Farm will offer suggestions on how your dog will benefit most from their products. This is extremely helpful if you’re not sure on what to feed your dog.

There’s also one thing to remember, though. If your dog requires a specific diet or prescription food because of a health condition, Open Farm freeze dried food may not be suitable. The company can help with suggestions to work around allergies, but nothing specific for prescription diets. It’s best to consult your vet first if Open Farm is good for your pet.

How Much is Open Farm Freeze Dried Food?

The freeze-dried food costs $9.99 (3.5 OZ), $34.99 (13.50 OZ), and $49.99 (22 O.Z.)

These are pricey for dog food, but we expected no less. When you use high-quality, human-grade ingredients, paying more is only fitting. There are some cheaper alternatives that aren’t freeze-dried, but they can still be pricey.
