Thrive Life’s Freeze Dried Snackies is a collection of freeze-dried fruits you can take on the go. They’re basically freeze dried snacks in a bag that are convenient to bring with for travelling, camping, hiking, and even road trips.
Since they’re all freeze dried, you don’t have to worry about making a mess or heavy cleanup afterward.
The Snackies that you can get are
These come in resealable Mylar bags for storage and travel convenience. Each bag varies in weight, depending on the type of freeze-dried food you’ll get. For example, a bag of freeze-dried bananas has a net weight of 2.3 oz (66g). A pack of freeze dried peas has 2.5oz (72g), then a bag of freeze-dried strawberries has a net weight of 0.9oz (27g).
According to the company, the ingredients were picked at the peak of sweetness. Their Nutrilock® freeze-drying process locks in flavor and nutrition. They flash freeze harvested produce within 2-3 hours after picking, usually right at the farm. This means they don’t have time to oxidize and lose their nutrients.
Now you don’t have to worry about chasing expiration dates and eating “empty” food. What’s more, Each Thrive Life freeze dried Snackies bag food with no additives and preservatives. This makes their food safer to eat and has a more natural flavor to it.
You’ll pay $3.99-$9.09, depending on the freeze dried Snackies you’ll get. But they offer 15% savings and free shipping to orders over $99 if you choose the monthly delivery service.

An Amazon customer said the coconut freeze dried Snackies were the softest he’s tried. They’re very sweet and almost have a sweet marshmallow taste.
A YouTuber also got some Snakies along with other Thrive Life freeze dried food. The company sent him the food for review, and this guy is a known YouTuber for survival tips. What got his attention with the Snackies because, as a scoutmaster, they’re perfect for camping or backpacking.
He said that the Snackies taste exactly the fruit that’s in the bag. What he liked is that you get that all-natural flavor because you don’t get preservatives and additives. He got the pure taste of the freeze dried strawberries and the corn. He then tried adding some freeze-dried apples to his oatmeal, and he really enjoyed it.
Another thing is that they’re good as they are. No rehydration is necessary, so they’re a snack on the go whenever you need them. Of course, he didn’t discount the flavor. For him the Snackies tasted great, but the acid test was his boy scouts. The good news is, the freeze dried snacks passed the acid test.
There’s a mix of reviews on their Facebook page, though, and most of them are for the meals. One customer got a box of freeze dried coconut that was shriveled and hard as a rock. Unfortunately, customer service didn’t respond fast and good enough for him, but at least the company did something.
There are no other reviews about the product, however. It would be good if there are some current reviews about the brand, but we can’t find new ones. They are a bit cheaper than Honeyville and certainly more expensive than So Natural. If you’re watching your budget, you probably can treat yourself to this once in a while.
The shipping and return policy is also pretty solid, just like other brands. So if ever you encounter problems, you can contact them and come up with a solution.
It’s worth the try if you’re out for a different kind of treat for a playdate, movie night, or a camping trip. Should you stock your pantry with freeze dried Snackies? We certainly recommend them if you’re after food that has close to fresh quality
